New Tables in the hallways foster student community

The story is on how AISD purchased tables for Bowie since they noticed we were short on seating out in the courtyard and in the hallways. The tables are affecting lunches, as well as before and after school studies, as they are a much better option than sitting on the floor. Students are pleased with the addition and hope to see more tables brought in as the ones we've just gotten have already filled up.

Photo Essays

Becoming Mary- The lighting is one from a vanity with senior Maddy Sparks putting on her hat with a smile. The camera is shooting into a mirror and there are a few blurred objects in the foreground which help frame the picture. The photo is properly exposed and is a very good shot.

Coming to Life- Senior Blake Pousson  stands under a spotlight and come to life as Neleus. There's a shadow in the foreground in the outline of a man's head,  and the photo is exposed properly, using simplicity and line in the stars contact between him and his background.

Holiday with Mary- This picture shows both seniors, Maddy Sparks and Blake Pousson under another spotlight. The composition rule used is simplicity as the black background helps them stand out and defines their features.

My Favorite photo is probably the Becoming Mary since the photo is really creative and Maddy looks very genuine in her expressions. The rules evident in this picture are framing, the pieces in the foreground being utilized.
My least favorite photo would be Butler Down jus because the colors of his suit and the sage seem to mix together in an unappealing way, but the positioning of it is great.
An assignment I'd like to work on for worthing like this would be the story about the biker that rides around the state, i think that could give some good shots and be a fun assignment.

The photography  on a scale of one to ten, would be around a seven or an eight. There were some really strong images, but the weaker ones were the ones that dragged the score down.

Getting Technical- I really like this picture of Fen's hands molding the cup on the wheel, the exposure and focus are really nice and the rule used most here would be value or line, since the dark shadows cream depth and sharp edges.

Just a Trim- The  rules used here are line and this picture is of Fen carving out a notch in the bottom of his cup.

Glazed and Confused- This picture is little under exposed and the definition in his face is lost in the shadows and blends into the wall to much, but other than that the picture is balanced nicely.

My favorite photo is Getting Technical because of the depth in the hands and in the cup, and my least favorite is the Glazed and Confused just because you can't see the subject's face and since it's a little too dark.
