Best ______ of 2017


1.) I chose Wild Thoughts as the best song of 2017 because of the sentimental value it has behind it. The song was a really popular song over the summer and it's attached to lake days with friends and sunny boat rides. It reminds me of a really happy time, the song's beat matching the thrill and excitement of summer. The song itself is okay, but the memories attached to it are what really make it the top song of 2017

2.) One of my favorite movies, Dunkirk, was my top movie of 2017. The minimal dialogue really caught my attention and forced me to pay attention to every scene so I wouldn't miss any part of the plot. The imagery and the colors used in the movie really communicated the feelings behind each scene as well as the angles that scenes were shot at. The movie was about a loss, but had a redeeming end.











3.) The top news story of 2017 was the Las Vegas Shooting in October, which killed 59 people.
This is one of the top stories because it's the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. History. It happened while people were in an open field drinking and enjoying a concert when the gunman shot over 1,100 rounds from the 32nd floor over the course of ten minutes before stopping. There were over 500 people injured.



4.) The most important person of 2017 was Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States who was inaugurated in late January. There has been controversy over him all year as he continued to make choices that threatened the morals and values that our constitution upholds. From global warming to nuclear warfare threats, Donald Trump has stirred up unease and distrust in allied countries as well as our own.

5.) The top entertainment story for celebrities in 2017 was Beyonce's pregnancy with her twin children. Her dedicated fans went wild when they found out in July, and the babies were born shortly after. The twins, a boy and a girl, where named Sir and Rumi, giving Blue Ivy, Beyonce and Jay Z's five year old daughter a brother and a sister.

HDR Preview

1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image? You need to take several pictures both above and below the correct exposure. 2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image? We will be using a tripod and a DSLR camera 3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image? So that we can accurately capture the lights and darks in an image, making it similar to what the eye can see. 4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo? We will see the different levels of light and dark, being able to make out things that we wouldn't have been able to with just a singular picture.
