https://www.diyphotography.net DIY Photography is a basic how-to website along with some articles on new up-and-coming ideas and producers relating to photography. They have reviews, tutorials, news, an recommended gear to buy, making a well rounded photography based website. The average viewer will get pulled into a couple articles and probably end up learning more than they intended to. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the site or bookmark it, but thats just because I don't have an overwhelming interest in the site or a particular need for the information on there. On a scale of 1-5 I'd give this website a 4 because it does cover all it[s bases with what a website like this should have, but the lost point is because I couldn't see myself using it more than once or twice realistically. I learned what Ello was through an article on how it's supposedly going to replace Instagram. The cover picture was very pretty as well, so I was inclined to click and learn more
Self Portraits vs Selfies

A selfie is a picture taken of yourself by yourself, usually taken on a phone or other digital device. It's instantaneous and disposable, a new one able to replace it in seconds. a self portrait, is a carefully planned and thought out image of yourself, in medias ranging from paint to technology. The idea behind them both is to capture an image of someone at a point of time, freezing that moment in time. The difference between 'Selfies' and Self-Protraits is a blurred line with the largest defining factor being the amount of time, effort, and thought put into the image. So then a selfie could become a self portrait if planned out and crafted carefully, but a self-portrait could be a selfie if simplified, since the concept is the same. I prefer self portraits to selfies, even though they are more time consuming. It allows the maker to be more creative and distort reality one way or another, especially when painting, something I love doing. Selfies are fun, but they don&

1.) One thing I will remember from my Holiday was a small Christmas part I had gone to a couple days before break had started. The party was small with only about ten people, but it was really fun as we were all close friends and a very relaxed night. 2.) My 2018 resolution is to eat better, drink more water, and stay consistent with my skincare routine, as they are all things I need to do better. 3.) In 2018 I'm already looking forwards to summer and vacation, but I'm also excited t return to high school in the fall a year older and year wiser.

1.) I chose Wild Thoughts as the best song of 2017 because of the sentimental value it has behind it. The song was a really popular song over the summer and it's attached to lake days with friends and sunny boat rides. It reminds me of a really happy time, the song's beat matching the thrill and excitement of summer. The song itself is okay, but the memories attached to it are what really make it the top song of 2017 2.) One of my favorite movies, Dunkirk, was my top movie of 2017. The minimal dialogue really caught my attention and forced me to pay attention to every scene so I wouldn't miss any part of the plot. The imagery and the colors used in the movie really communicated the feelings behind each scene as well as the angles that scenes were shot at. The movie was about a loss, but had a redeeming end. 3.) The top news story of 2017 was the Las Vegas Shooting in October, which killed 59 people. This is one of the top stories because it's the deadlie

Total Solar Eclipse This one is one of my favorites because its rare that we would get to see a total solar eclipse and that the picture is on such a large scale that you can see the curve of the earth. Academy Awards Mixup This picture shows a wide range of emotions raging from dismay to excitement, all unfiltered, and that's why this picture is one of my favorites. Flint Prom This picture is one of my favorites because it shows two teenagers at their prom, something that almost every american will experience. The girl looks worried and distracted giving insight on the impact of the water crisis in Flint, Michigan
