Paul Olde inspects his bulldog's muzzle to verify that there isn't any mustard. Paul Olde's hotdog was left unattended and then disappeared before his return and his prime suspect was the dog.

Jeff Rudman is paralyzed with fear as the deadly screaming monkeys of Utah select their victim. Jeff has a crippling fear f monkeys, and the Utah screaming monkeys have a reputation of savage ruthlessness.

Lucille Darth stops at the grocery store right after her 50th high school reunion. Lucille was the valedictorian of her high school senior class in the year 1947, but set the east wing of the school on fire shortly after her graduation ceremony.

Imogene Cunningham- Succulent Harry Callahan- Eleanor Lee Friedlander -Lafayette, Louisiana   I really liked these images because of the contrast of soft and stark, the curves and the lines. The soft curves of the humans and their shadows and the straight lines of the wood in the pole and window contrast well. I liked the top picture, the succulent, because of the sharpness, with every crease shadow and line defined.  What I liked about the middle photo though was the lack of definition and the fuzzy edges which gave it a soft and light tone.

Academic Shoot

I followed the composition rules of balance and framing. The waterspouts balance the picture and frame the subject, the girl. Its very clear what the subject is, since she is framed and is in the very center of the picture. I followed the composition rules of line in this picture with the diagonal lines of the chair and the curved water spout. The subject is less clear however, because of the water spout, because it blocks the actual subject, the girl. Next time, I could take the picture from the opposite side of her. The rules of composition that I followed in this picture is rules of thirds. The subject is in the left upper half, and the subject is the boy reading. The Camera

1. The "camera obscura"effect is an optical effect that involves creating a tiny hole in a wall of a completely dark room and through the hole the light is focused and the outside scene is projected (upside-down) on the wall opposite of the hole. 2. When high quality glass lenses are invented by Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens the modern camera was brought one step closer to where it is today. 3. The first "modern" camera was invented by Joseph Niepce and it consisted of a glass lens, a dark box, and film. 4.
